The final & last chapter of our summer vacation in San Francisco, CA had us visiting the Gotham Club at the San Francisco Giants baseball Stadium which was the Hubster Zack’s favorite day by far!⚾️ My mother in law’s childhood friend Shirley was gracious enough to lend us their passes to this extravagant sports club that overlooked the baseball stadium, had its separate bar, allowed you to walk partly on the San Francisco Giants dugout field & lastly had a bowling alley on the top floor! Cheers!

After our last day in the City we packed up & drove 4 hours up to Lake Tahoe for our family reunion. Tahoepalooza (dubbed by my mum in law Kris & to all after that?) was planned to be a fun extravaganza where 15 of us family members would hit the beach, eat great food from our Italian side, sightsee & most importantly reconnect with loved ones for 3 days. We did all those things & more…
Not seeing my mum-in-Law for 2 months had quite an effect on me which was great as we got to catch up like no time had passed in a matter of 20 mins (Don’t you just love relationships like that?!)

Here is a pic of my mum-in-Law Krissy & I  hugging it out as she’s making one of her infamous dips for Appetizers that night… LOVE THAT WOMAN! I’m wearing a Zara floral maxi dress with a BCBG gold & black belt to cinch in the waist & black Sam Edelman thong sandals to complete the look! Here is a picture of the family cabin that we’ve had in our family since the 1960’s (with some renovations of course) it’s a piece of heaven!

So I’m not much of a fan of the beach (being black & all) but for one day a year I join the masses & Zack & I are here  enjoying those rays? I’m wearing a cherry red Robin Piccone one piece swimming costume with cutouts from Nordstrom, a white vitamin E cover up from Everything But Water, a tan visor from H &M & my favorite sunnies from Quay Australia.

One of my favorite things to do at Tahoe other than mini golf, sight see & eat is drink (being on holiday & all?) & a local restaurant called Garwoods is the place to do it! They’re infamous for their signature drinks called “Wet Woodys” a concoction of rum & deliciousness that doesn’t taste like alcohol which we know can be dangerous… here is a pic of their classic wet woody beverage in all its glory! I had one & a half of these & lost at mini golf with the husband (first time losing in like 10 yrs) I’m convinced he got me sloshed on purpose?☺️

An all out great time in both cities me thinks, get in!!! So that concludes my summer Holidaze lovies! Next week Wednesday I’ll get back on track speaking of the fall trends & how to wear them…

Cheers & Best Wishes,

Summer Holidaze Part Deux!

Ello lovies! Taking you back to the nightmare of our Renovations you reckon?! Both our bathrooms are finally done & I can’t tell you how happy we are with the end results. Here are some pictures to show the before & after like I promised… we went with smoky mosiac tile floors that look like wood (as floors get dirty easily), white porcelain wall tiles with a hint of gray & white quartz countertops with the same color scheme which opened up the bathroom as they’re small. Brushed nickel was our choice of metal for all of our appliances so that flowed from the shower head to the bog (toilet) paper holder.

What a difference 1 month makes innit?! After all the drama & disappointment amazing work came out of it!

In continuance with my San Franciscan summer holiday, Day 3 we were feeling groggy after the ice-cream coma so decided we needed an energy boost & rented bicycles!
Our bike ride lasted 8 bloody miles which was NOT our intention so a bike hike is what it turned out to be,Lol ? We rode our bikes from Fishermans wharf down to the Golden Gate bridge and then rode through the Presidio down to Golden Gate Park where we laid on the grass for a bit to relax.

Here is a pic of me rocking my Lorna Jane  workout gear after our exhausting bike/ hike. We decided to do one of my favorite things, SHOPPING!!!? We hit up Haight-Ashbury for the stores that don’t exist back home in Arizona. We went to boutiques & found so many graffiti wall art which I fell in love with! Here I am rocking my Topshop Jamie denim, Miss selfridge Nude off- the shoulder bodysuit, Zara bag & Urban Outfitters gray booties.

That night was my favorite night of the entire trip as we were invited by our bestie Badfish to watch his Dj friend lay down some tracks at Madrone Art Bar in Hayes Valley. The theme was Motown Monday’s & as soon as we got into the bar people were boogieing down like it was “1999”! I was like “here are my people!” So I just danced through the crowd & we were dancing all night! Here Zack & I are happy having had a little sauce ☺️ but mostly just enjoying the great ambiance!

Next week Wednesday I’ll let you know about the last chapter of our Holidaze including our journey to Lake Tahoe!

Cheers & Best Wishes,

Summer Holidaze!

Summer holidays are the BEST aren’t they?? When I was younger living in London with my family whenever we knew summer holidays were fast approaching we couldn’t wait to vacate the monotony of our everyday lives &” live like there was no tomorrow!” The same feelings still pertains to today with work. The hubby, Zack & I decided to skip our usual jaunt of visiting my hometown London (due to the scary terrorist attacks) & stay more local by going to our favorite City in the entire U.S, San Francisco & then Lake Tahoe.

Day 1

We decided to make the 14 hour drive there as I hate flying. Having a 2 and a half year long distance relationship 10 years ago with Zack from London to Arizona every 3 months when we were dating did not cure me of my fear of flying but it is what it is! Leaving straight after work Friday evening, laying over in Bakersfield, California then arriving mid afternoon on Saturday at our Air BnB near Fisherman’s Wharf  was a mighty feat indeed, golly gumdrops!

Saturday we spent unpacking, realizing this was the worst Air BnB we were about to stay at due to their exaggeration of the size & luxury of the flat so we settled into San Franciscan living. We hit a local bar the first night then met up with One of our best friends Badfish for dinner at a restaurant Called HorseFeather in Hayes Valley which was bloody brilliant! I opted for the Fried crab legs (when in Rome & all) & quinoa/ runny egg concoction which was amazing! We then headed back to Badfish’s place for some Rooftop Tom foolery.

As you can see in the pics, the first evening I decided to wear one of the big pre-fall trends “Spot On”. This dress was black with white polka dots, off-the shoulder, fitted all the way in the waist through & 3/4 knee length & the piece de resistance was the tie back. Warning, you’ll need assistance unless your double jointed but at under $60.00 from Zara, you won’t care! Teamed up with my hot pink bauble bar Piñata earrings (which I’m obsessed with, have them in 5 colors now) black & silver western shoeties with a cut out back from Topshop.

Day 2

Day 2 was all about exploring so we had breakfast at Beach Street Grill, an Organic restaurant with offerings of homemade comfort food & Gluten Free goodness (my gluten intolerance sucks) so we were sold! I got the gluten free french toast with berries on the side- which was such delicious food until I found a fruit worm burying into one of my blackberries! Eeek! After reporting to the owner’s sister whom was our Server she informed us this happens once a day & that was the perils of being all natural & not using pesticides & such!

We decided to play Tourist & walk around Pier 39 where there were boats from eons ago parked on the ocean, a vintage Arcade that had games that are no longer offered & even a fair & merry go-around. A trip to see the sea lions bathing in the sun was also magical.

A boat trip to Saulsalito, California a small beach town across the Ocean was one of my favorite trips. It took my honey & I about 20 mins to get there, we boarded on Pier 41 & spent 2 hours exploring this sleepy beach town. We even went to the Trident, a restaurant my in-Laws had gone to when they were still dating…

The day ended with an Ice -cream at the local Saulsalito ice cream store, some Taffy just like my namesake & a sugar filled coma :). Catch you next week Wednesday lovies for more updates on our summer holidaze!

Cheers & Best Wishes,

Ello Lovies! If you’ve been keeping up with my renovations madness you should know our new Contractor is everything & more! He & his team completed one of our bathrooms in record time & furthermore it looks like a fancy beach house bathroom which were so happy about! With Smoky wood floors, white cabinets, white & grey swirled countertops & wall tile- it’s bloody marvelous! The bathroom has really opened up & in fact I still can’t believe its the same space! The custom glass door just needs to be fitted then i’ll post a pic for you on here so you can see the before & after.

Street Style is one of the chapters i’ve been meaning to develop on my blog as what better way to showcase a person’s fashion style than on the street! A couple of weeks ago The Hubster Zack & I attended a New Times event (prominent lifestyle magazine in Phoenix) which incorporated cocktails & desserts from local bakeries, restaurants & bars in the area. GENIUS idea as who doesn’t love CAKE with a cocktail? Emmm.. no one!

I just had to snap a pic of a lady who’s outfit I thought was “on point”. She was rocking the off-the-shoulder trend which is so prominent right now with bell sleeves (another BIG trend) in an African inspired print. Teamed with short shorts & metallic flats she looked bloody marvelous! Her name was Ms Osagide. This Nigerian goddess told me her Aunt had made her top which was one- of- a -kind. Golly gumdrops, I would commission that in a second!!

In continuance with my 2017 pre-fall trends list longer length pants are one of them & are growing in popularity. Now i’m not just talking about just past your ankles, no, I’m talking about sweeping the floor lengths that puddle at your feet pants, AKA great lengthy pants. Not the most practical trend but it was all over the web & Runway for pre-fall with brands like Alice & Olivia, Akris Punto, Ellery & Tome to just name a few…

SPLURGE OPTION 1 I found these chic Paulette striped wide-leg pants $295.00 by Alice & Olivia & fell in love with them (so hip & chic just like Stacy Bendet the designer) & paired this with her Houston embroidered velvet Mary Jane platform pumps $395.00, Cinq A Sept Coleby baby Tee $75.00, medium soft metallic hobo bag & Chan Luu studded chiffon Neckerchief $55.00 to give it a pop of color in the blue. This look is retro fabulous.

SPLURGE OPTION 2 In accordance with my medical device wearers these pants are perfect as they’re loose from the St. John collection Georgette Wide-Leg pants $695.00 are indeed very wide leg, paired with this affordable Halogen one-shoulder stretch cotton top $41.40 (on sale) with the exaggerated bow (love!) & isn’t the Judith Leiber couture seductress crystal lipstick clutch bag $5495.00 such a show stopper? Laura Mercier lip glace in pink $26.00 & to finish off this look Jimmy Choo Romy 100 Leopard-print calf Hair pumps $795.00. This look could take you from day to night.

SPLURGE OPTION 3 is more of a classic look with this off white Joseph Ferguson linen Twill wide leg pants $142.00 (on sale, yass!) teamed with a black Tome wool turtleneck top $495.00 (want, need) Argento Vivo Hammered linear earrings $24.00, Alexander Wang Attica mini Velvet Multifunction bucket bag $495.00 & lastly one of my favorite shoe designers Giuseppe Zanotti Brocade Velvet Booties $845.00.

Splurge Summary I felt great lengths is a stupendous trend for Glamazons but not necessarily for my petite ladies unless you favor tripping over. However if you are interested in this look customize it to fit you by getting it altered. I would pair them with sky high heels or better yet platforms so at least when you trip up you have some stability! 😉 Medical device wearers this goes the same for you. Not my favorite trend I will admit as i tend to favor pieces that accentuate my assets but each to their own… though if you are voluptuous & favor this trend I do suggest a fitted top to accentuate your curves with these long a$$ pants! Work!

See you in 2 weeks lovies with some fresh & new surprises coming your way!

Cheers & Best Wishes,

Sequins & Shine!!

Ello Lovies, if you haven’t already checked out my latest You Tube video then you possibly should as renovations madness occurred in its full capacity last week! Eeek!

Our Contractor whom we’ve been working with since April, planning our bathroom & kitchen remodel, finally came in & demolitioned our entire 2 bathrooms & after 1 week he quit!! WTF! Right? We were shocked too! I didn’t even know that that could happen! Zack asked 1 question which was “when will our pocket doors (that we were getting installed) going to be ready?” The Contractor replied that he was “going to step back” from the job as he felt like he was being rushed. He then went on to ignore Zack’s calls & my frantic text messages. After having his calls thwarted, Zack found another Contractor the same day…

Our Ex-Contractor cooled off then emailed the next day explaining himself & offered to finish our bathrooms but said we should find someone else for the kitchen. Zack wasn’t having any of it & after we discussed being left high & dry I replied to him that we no longer required his services. What a bloody mess!!

Designers are always playing with the boundaries of fashion, seeing how far they can take a trend & Sequins & Shine is a prominent one for pre-fall 2017. I mean who doesn’t love “bling”??  Recyclable as fashion is Glam rock & Bowie inspired sequins have been showing up on the runway with brands such as Jenny Packham, Roberto Cavalli (as i live & breathe!) Altuzarra & of course the ever classic Chanel…

Splurge Option There was so much to offer on this trend if you have beaucoup bucks as you can see. I showcased 2 night time looks & 1 day to night look. The first one a full on sequins on sequins on sequins for my petite ladies (couldn’t help myself okay!) The Roberto Cavalli Sequin Silk Dress $4680.00 & what a dress it is, BABY GOT BACK! Paired with Ginette NY Sequins Diamond & 18K Rose Gold Stud Earrings $975.00, Edie Parker Jean Glitter stripe Acrylic Clutch $1195.00 & lastly Giuseppe Zanotti Sequin 105 metallic Booties $895.00. This outfit does NOT mess around & what a punch it packs if I say so myself! 😉

Splurge Option 2 For my curvy ladies, I wanted to showcase 2 hot trends right now Gingham & of course shine! This Diane Von Furstenberg sequined midi dress is OFF THE CHARTS & at $468.00 yes please! Teamed up with BaubleBar Piñata Tassel Earrings $36.00 (i have them in hot pink, yaass!) Alice & Olivia Multi-stripe sequin clutch $495.00 & Lastly Louboutin Foilles Lace Red Sole Pump in Multi color $795.00. I would rock this outfit all night every night if i could, just fabulous!

Splurge Option 3 I went with this lovely jubbly NO.21 metallic sequined color block skirt $1260.00 & paired with this white Topshop Bardot Hook & Eye crop top $28.00, Sonix Ibiza 55mm cat Eye Sunglasses $98.00, nude Christian Louboutin So Kate Patent Leather clutch $850.00 & Kate Spade New York $88.00 (comes in white as well which is to die for!) I mixed some save & splurge options in here like I’ve said before not every piece has to break the bank, all put together this look is SMOKIN’!!

Splurge Summary I’m obsessed with this trend as it’s flattering to all body types both petite & curvy. For my medical device wearers it is a teeny weenie bit heavy in weight but other than that your good.Sequins & Shine is such a fun & funky way of expressing oneself, so go for it, i’ts a free fall for all!

Catch you next week Wednesday Lovies.

Luxe Layers!

This week in my dressing room diaries, the hubby Zack & I had the most peculiar Uber driver on our way to a bbq in downtown Phoenix. After muttering about her job history for 5 mins she finally got interesting when she filled us in on her experiences as a Sales Associate in the men’s department  at Nordstrom…

“Uber Sheeba” as I like to call her spoke of how a man after trying thousands of $$ of clothing soiled $800.00 of it to feed his sick fetish. First of all Eww & secondly, who does that? Uber Sheeba went on to tell us about a couple who regularly came in & got off on arguing in front of the Sales Associate then when the chance arose, the girlfriend  would sneek into the dressing room her boyfriend occupied & have loud make up sex. They finally got caught & security escorted them out! Golly gumdrops there are some freaks out there! Lmao!

Even though it’s scorching outside I wanted to start bringing your attention to the pre-fall trends for 2017 as with fashion were always a season ahead. A big trend for pre-fall that’s started to trickle into the luxury brand I run my business through is Tiers or as I like to call luxe layers!

When I think of Tiers I think of layers on a cake but that’s because I LOVE cake, Yum! But I wanted to see what Tiers actually means in regarding fashion. According to the dictionary Tiers is..”one of a number of successively overlapping ruffles or flounces in a garment”. I mean watching Queen Bey in the yellow Robert Cavalli gown for her lemonade debut video smashing sh*t up is a bloody brilliant depiction of the trend in its full glory! All hail Queen Bey!

Splurge Option for my petite ladies this is the perfect trend for you as it adds a little more shape to your form whilst showing a quirky edge so go for it full on! I selected this dress as it’s so fun with the reverse SearSucker print (being red & not blue) the Ellie Tiered strapless dress from the brand Prose & Poetry $450.00, paired with Stephanie Kantis Tier DoorKnocker earrings $285.00, Splash flat brow catty sunnies $30.00 from Topshop & my favorite Dolly two part sandals $48.00 adds an extra pop of color!

Save Option for my curvy ladies you must be careful with the Tiers trend as worn incorrectly it can add bulk to your form. I tried a dress on & it made me look like a cake topper! I would suggest breaking up the Tiers like I did below & in my feature pic as a curvy lady it’s more flattering. My entire outfit is from Zara one of my favorite places to find bargains. The top was marked down at $35.99 & the skirt $19.99 both STEALS! I paired them with my Topshop Metallic & white platforms $60.00 as I’m constantly on the go for work.Topped off with my Rose gold apple watch which I never leave the house without as it’s linked to my medical device (dexcom cgm) that helps monitor my blood sugar. Lastly a piece of felt fabric I cut & created as a choker. However if you are wanting the dress option & are stubborn like me try to keep the focus of the Tiers at the bottom of the dress as it’s beaucoup flattering.

Splurge option 2 For my medical device wearers the Tiers trend can be overwhelming. It may hinder your medical device’s functionality for my pumpers especially (Medtronic wearers) you may loose tubing in the midst of all those layers so be forewarned. Omnipod wearers your fine!! I suggest again breaking up the trend. This peach blouse really spoke to me with its Tiered sleeve from Topshop $55.00 paired with these Rag & Bone Dre Step Hem Distressed Capris, Marni Mare embroidered beach hat $395.00 just screams summer holiday. I thought these Oyster sunnies by Chanel (mucho expensive) tied the outfit together with lastly these Alexandre Birman Clarita Leather Ankle-Tie sandals $695.00 (THE DREAM)

Save VS Splurge Summary Luxe layers is an interesting trend & to be honest not one of my favorites as it’s not complimentary to my body type head to toe but each to their own. If you love it invest in a good piece. If not fashion is recyclable so go with more of an affordable piece. The best way to try something new is to wear it with confidence, if you have that nothing else matters…

Check you next Wednesday lovies with my sequins & shine segment..see what I did there?! lol

Cheers & Best Wishes,

Denim Daze!!

Ello Lovies, since the end of March the Hubster Zack & I have been collecting furniture for our kitchen & bathrooms re-model so the house has started to look like a hoarders dream palace..seriously! It’s been 3 months planning but I’m so ecstatic to say the demolition started yesterday, thank baby Jesus!

If there ever was a “sign” on the counter top choices we’ve made for our remodel this weekend was it. The two bars we visited, the first one, a sports bar in old town, Scottsdale had the Victoria quartz counter top choice we picked for our bathrooms (mostly white quartz stone with swirls of grey). We both agreed upon it instantly as its subtle, light in color & will open up our bathrooms as they’re small. LiveWire was the second venue we went to see a live band that had our Kitchen counter top choice Volcano granite wrapped entirely around both their bars, bloody brilliant! We’d disagreed over the counter top volcano for the kitchen as it looks just like its description, I thought it was too busy but Zack didn’t. However, after placing a sample of our new maple cognac cabinets we’d picked out against the Volcano stone I was a goner! Get in!!!

This week I wanted to speak about the many perils of denim! I’m considered somewhat a denim Specialist in the luxury brand I run my business through.Trying on denim is as difficult as bra or swimming costume (swimsuit) shopping, I’m not taking the piss, its what I’ve heard! I didn’t fully commit to wearing denim until the age of 23 because it was just so difficult to find the right pair to fit my big bum & athletic thighs comfortably :-0

There are a multitude of different washes, cuts, textures & styles of denim. Different brands fit differently on the body so your size can fluctuate depending on the cut, style & brand itself which can all be so confusing! The trick is to find the right fit of denim first then focus on the wash & everything else…

Splurge Option My favorite go-to denim for curvy ladies & medical device wearers is AG (Adriano Goldschmeid). You can actually sleep comfortably in them, no joke (I have on the plane flying back home to London). Not only are they stretchy & the fabric is so soft but I own over 10 pairs! Golly gumdrops I know its a lot but once I got my first pair of premium denim there was no going back. AG denim hinders my self consciousness as it’s tailored to fit my curves & works well with my CGM (medical device). Side note NEVER use a dryer for your premium denim, hang dry it as they will be ruined. Here I teamed the AG Farrah Skinny $255.00, a high-rise pintuck Step Hem skinny jean (a huge trend for fall denim 2017) with this Topshop Florence off the shoulder top $40.00, camden heights Aviator Sunnies by Quay Australia $60.00 (heck yeah!) Gucci soho disco leather bag $980.00 & Raphael sandals from Topshop $75.00.

Splurge Option 2 For my petite ladies I recommend Frame Denim. It doesn’t have as much stretch as AG but the fit is phenomenal, fabric is tip top & once you get it on you’ll wonder where they’ve been all your life. I styled the Frame denim Le nouveau high-rise slit released hem $249.00 (another trend for fall denim 2017) with this Nordstrom embroidered Gingham top $55.00. I own about 2 dozen of these Alex & Ani wire bangles (ssshhh) at $28.00, Chloe Mini Marcie leather cross body $890.00 & Gucci glitter sneakers $650.00 which are what dreams are made from!

Save Option These frayed uneven hem crop jeans from Blanknyc denim (Nordstrom rack, again I know!) are $39.97 which is such a BARGAINl! It meets the denim fall trends list being distressed, frayed & uneven hemmed & the funkiness doesn’t end there, it’s a high rise which makes everything look seamless. The fabric was a little stiff but other than that, great find (i’m patting my back as you read this 😉 This paired with a graphic Tee by one of my fav bloggers Sincerely Jules $49.00 which is so fun, Pave “X” studs, Nordy’s rack $12.97, BP shades $12.00 & faux leather mini backpack $39.00 both from Nordys are stupid steals & Steve Madden sparkly slide sandals $59.95.

Splurge Vs Save Summary With denim try on at least 5 pairs unless you have a go-to brand that you love. Just go with what fits the best, try not to focus on the size & price so much but what looks good & most importantly feels good for you.

Catch you next Wednesday lovies, have a lovely jubbly week!

Cheers & Best Wishes,

Velvet Crush

Ello Lovies, I have to say the best thing about having a British accent in America is that I can get away with so much more than your average person. This week I had an interesting experience in my dressing room diaries…a customer I’d styled once before in the luxury brand I run my business through came in & apologized to me! This doesn’t happen often by the way but I was happy to accept it..she was apologetic because when we first met she spent over $7,000 with me then a little bit after that, I saw all of it trickle back into the store in returns via her assistant!

As she apologized, I told her I had been confused by her returns, she seemed to like it all at the time. She said she’d had 2 glasses of wine at lunch before she’d originally come in to shop & everything I’d shown her looked amazing however, when she got home it just didn’t anymore…I responded by asking her if she’d had any drinks today in which she replied “no” then I further stated that was great as I get to meet the real her! She looked baffled by my comment then begrudgingly agreed..she then went on to spend a quarter of what she had before. Golly Gumdrops!

This week I wanted to showcase Velvet as we’ve started getting new inventory for fall & what a great piece to feature than a burnt orange velvet dress. Yummy! Formal velvet is indeed a trend for Fall 2017. According to Elle Magazine “Designers are still crushing on velvet, but this season they’re cutting designs from the rich fabric for jewel -tone Formalwear”  (Getty, Imaxtree)

The best thing about this item is that you don’t have to wait until winter to wear it if teemed up with the right accessories. I’d go with a nude open toed pump, colorful embroidered bag & statement earrings for a look fitting these summer nights as you can see.

Save option is this gorgeous dress by the brand Privy, privately privileged. It was only $15.90 if you can believe it & the color as you can see is to-die-for, it was beaucoup stretchy when I tried it on. If your just looking for a throw-a-way piece get it, you certainly get what you pay for. The clutch is from Gucci, suede pumps J Crew to add a mix of texture, Earrings are nude vintage sunflowers from Etsy ($9.99, can you say STEAL!) & Mac Lippie Velvet Teddy.

In addition, for my medical device wearers it doesn’t minimize your device so show it off!

Splurge option I found 2 gorgeous options from some fun designers, Alice & Olivia & A.L.C. Both depicted in my looks have different advantages. The Alice & Olivia Alexis Ruffled velvet dress at $330.00 does accentuate your waist & keeps your medical device hidden should you want the option. Ruffles are on trend & the texture is so soft. The heels are from Jeffrey Campbell, the clutch is Valentino (resort 2016, bite me I still love it 😉  the Fragrance is Roses de Chole.

The A.L.C Annex Velvet Midi dress $695.00 is also softly textured, longer in length so for my curvy girls it is more flattering & will hinder your self-consciousness even though it does look like PG13 lingerie! I teamed this with Stuart Weitzman strappy heels, clutch was from Sweet Couch.com & Chandelier earrings Kate Spade New York .

Save Vs Splurge Summary: I like to mix high & low end items to complete a look. Not everything has to break the bank, you can make a “save” outfit look like a splurge outfit by just adding one “key” item. Here it was the purses! Stay tuned to see what i do with denim next week…New blog post will be up on Wednesday & every WEDNESDAY. Catch you next time lovies.

Cheers & Best Wishes,

fashion style personal stylist save vs splurge award winning

A little bit about me!

Ello Lovies! My name’s Afi which sounds like Taffy and that is how i originally created this blog name. Working at a luxury brand with an unusual name like Afi & having that butchered every day was enough to make me go insane! Customers could never remember how to say, let alone pronounce it so I came up with a way to make it easier on them by making it rhyme & put a smile on their faces, hence Afi Like Taffy I am! 😉

Being a child of 13 siblings, it was always easier to take the attention away from my brothers & sisters and put the focus on myself as i was the only one without a twin in the first batch of 7 kids (3 sets of twins in first batch). With no twin to compete with and being the female doppelgänger of my dad, an international businessman, i loved to emulate his tip top style as he got the most genuine compliments wherever we went & that to me was acceptance of the highest form. He favored Italian designers whereas i gravitated towards french ones like Givenchy, Saint Laurent & Chanel.

I decided to start blogging as being in the fashion industry as a stylist for nearly 5 years, i feel i have so much to share & what a great platform to do it in. My very own page! Hooray!! I’m all about showcasing alternate looks of Splurge VS. Save so you can have alternate choices for that final decision you make about pieces you put in your wardrobe. I like to depict 1 look for 2 alternate prices.

Also, I’m a type 1 diabetic & wear a medical device (cgm- continuous glucose monitor) that helps me monitor my blood sugars & many people have no idea about that or my condition as i choose to dress to show it off if i so choose or hinder it depending on my comfort level.

We should always be given a choice in life. So with Afi Like Taffy i’m going to give you that alternative choice too.. Looking forward to letting you into my crazy little world. Please let me know what you think, if you have any questions or feedback!

Lovely, Jubbly
